Tom cochraneTom Cochrane & Red Rider

Canadian music icon, Tom Cochrane & Red Rider bring their anthems "Life is a Highway", "Big League", "Lunatic Fringe" and more to rock the Square. Celebrated singer/songwriter Tom is the recipient of many music industry awards and recently received the Order of Canada for his humanitarian and uniquely Canadian compositions. One of the greatest Canada has produced, Tom will kick off Empire Rockfest in grand style.

Bachman Cummings

Guess Who's returning to Empire Square Live?! No Canadian band has a richer heritage...Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings the much anticipated encore performance after selling out the Square in '06. "American Woman", "No Time", "Undun", "No Sugar Tonight", "These Eyes" and if that isn't enough, these Juno Hall of Famers perform their monster solo hits and BTO classics. They'll be "Takin' Care of Business" at the Square.

Steve Winwood

Legendary rock vocalist and musician and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee. Winwood burst onto the British music scene as a teen phenomenon wailing away like a seasoned Blues singer and playing his signature Hammond organ with the Spencer Davis Group..."Gimme Some Lovin'", "I'm a Man". As the psychedelic era emerged Winwood formed Traffic with Dave Mason recording the classic "Feeling Alright". As the 60's drew to a close, he joined the first official supergroup Blind Faith with ex-Cream musicians Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker. The 70's would see the return of Traffic and their release of the influential albums John Barleycorn Must Die and Low Spark of the High-heeled Boys and Shoot Out at the Fantasy Factory. The 1980's saw Steve become a multi-platinum solo artist and Grammy award winner with his albums Arc of the Diver and Back in the Highlife. Today, Steve is currently touring as the the very special guest of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. His latest release Dirty City featuring old friend Eric Clapton with whom he shared 3 nights performing at Madison Square Gardens in NYC earlier this year. Empire Square Live is honoured to present Steve Winwood in concert.

David Wilcox

By popular demand, the bad apple makes his Empire debut. Canada's favourite party rocker, you know the tunes "Riverboat Fantasy", "Do the Bearcat", "Downtown Came Uptown" and many more. The king of the college pubs and outdoor festivals.

MARK FARNER formerly of Grand Funk Railroad

Founder of the legendary Grand Funk Railroad, continues to rock audiences world-wide with his soulful voice and blistering guitar. One of rock's greatest power trios, Farner & Grand Funk have sold millions of albums with classics "I'm Your Captain/Closer to My Home", "Heartbreaker", "We're an American Band" and "Some Kind of Wonderful". Farner will have us all rockin' to some "Foot Stompin' Music".

Colin James

He's an Empire Theatre favourite, selling out 3 consecutive theatre shows. Now Canada's favourite blues man gets to spread his wings, outdoors. Always evolving, Colin never disappoints with exciting new material blended with familiar favourites.

Sled Dogs

Their recent show at The Empire Theatre rocked the house. One of Canada's fastest rising bands.

Crash Parallel
